Gots a question 4 ya'll
alright so my dad wants to get rid of his 86 chevy truck it runs great no problems its got a chevy 350 in it and im gonna take the motor out of it and put it in my 72 chevy is there any differences in like mounts and any other ****?

a small block is a small block as far as mounts go, it will depend however what was in your truck before the swap. if it was a I6 it will be mounted in a diff. location. Should still work with those mounts though, im sure somone else will chime in though

I believe 86 was the first year of the one piece rear seal so you may have to get another flywheel or flex plate if you have an automatic.

well its the same exact truck its just diff years both are 3/4 tons 2wd wit chevy 350's an 4spd granny lows

Your actual motor mount stands are different the 86 uses the clamshell style whereas your 72 has the older kind,(technical name???) but you can use the 86 motor stand by drilling I believe one hole in the crossmember, and you would have better motor mount setup in my book.

i dont get wat u guys are sayin but im gonna go work on my 72 on saturday so i'll look at the two trucks and see the difference and maybe post some pics too
