Question about fuel sending unit?

I was looking thru lmc today and realized that it said there was a sending unit for a 4 barrel carb and one for a 2 barrel carb. Does this mean i have to get a new sending unit to swap my truck from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel carb?

Re: Question about fuel sending unit?

Absolutely not. And the sending unit in the tank has nothing to do with what carb you have on there. It could be fuel injected and it wont matter. All the sending unit does is send a signal to the gauge to tell how much fuel is in the tank.
