Question I don't seem to have a PCV...

I suppose I could be stupid or blind - but I can't find it anywhere. I know the PO did a lot of the work himself, so he might have done something incorrectly. I'm assuming I NEED to make sure it gets added back in if it is gone. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Here is where I expected to find it:

or here...

Or anywhere in here:

Argh! I need to find a full vacuum diagram for my engine, but I haven't even had any luck with that (many great topics here on the forums on it - I'm just not sure which 350 permutation I have - and the Edelbrock isn't helping). But I can't even find my engine number. I'm beginning to fear it has been machined off.

Isn't this where it is supposed to be?

The only number I found was on the bell housing, and it just read "D1473" which as far as I can tell isn't even a correct casting number.

Any help is appreciated, even if it turns out I'm a moron
Thanks!

Re: I don't seem to have a PCV...

the vac line goin to the front of the eddy carb from the brake booster is supposed to go to the back port of the carb. the passenger side oil fill cap is actually supposed to be a breather with a 90 degree fitting coming out of it and that is supposed to go to the front of the carb where the booster line is. since you have vacumm advance your supposed to have the hose from the distributor on the high end next to the middle port. im not sure why you have another hose on the low end goin somewhere off the picture. and yea the casting is gone wouldnt worry too much unless you were tryin to do a numbers matching type of ordeal. heres a couple pics of my set up and if your lookin for a diagram get one of those hand books for the trucks that help you fix stuff they usually have that kind of stuff in em.

Orange77, you are a saint!

Thank you a million times over for that picture. I have the shop manuals, I think I was just getting lost in all the different diagrams.

I'm going to reroute mine as you have recommended. That other vac line goes of to something on the wall that doesn't actually seem to be hooked up to anything. I think it had to do with the AC (which is no longer even in there). I'm going to cap that one off.

Thanks again!

Re: I don't seem to have a PCV...

no problem gibson and yea idk where that other line could go but doubt it was the ac lol i have ac and has no vac lines goin to it lol good luck shouldnt be too hard i just replaced my old chrome valve covers with new eddy covers cause they kept leakin out of the breathers and oil fill like yours look to be. re routing should be super easy good luck and by the way the breathers should be bout 8 bucks each for the chrome ones if you need both the regular push in style and the 90 degree
