+1
I would love to know what secrets are out there for cleaning and softening these belts. My wife refuses to buckle up because they "itch her", so if you've got some tips on making them like new, I'm listening as well. Great topic!

The only type of dye that "might" work is liquid. Any spray dye is going to make them stiff. I would consider removing them and pressure washing to see how well they clean up.

Re: restoring/conditioning/fixing seatbelts???
When I restored my old silverado seat belts(smoke doggs truck), I used a bucket of hot water with a half cup of liquid tide and a half cup of degreaser called super clean. I mixed this up in a bucket of hot water and let the belts soak for about 20 minutes. Pulled them out and scrubbed them with a plastic bristle scrub brush, let soak for 10 minutes then sprayed them off and they came out looking good. Then I polished the buckles with mothers.
