Re: How much of a turn off is a rusty cab vs. a rust free cab
rust and a sunroof would make me swap cabs...
If you buy a new windshield gasket get one by Premier, not truck shop. SourKraut and I messed with on of those for about 5 hours one night! that cab looks pretty bad, and that's from a guy that put a full floor in his truck!

I would swap cabs. I just cut one up today for scrap that was in far better condition.
BTW, that 6 lug D60 is not original to your truck. Still a nice piece though.

Re: How much of a turn off is a rusty cab vs. a rust free cab
The 6-lug D60 is original to the truck. They were optioned on these trucks in a few rare cases. There's a few other half tons on here with the 6-lug semi-floating D60, 3 if I remember right. The C10 is even listed as having it from a few other Dana sources as a 6-lug.
Looking likely that I'm going to take this on. Talking with my friend about paint. Last edited by texanidiot25; 08-18-2009 at 01:17 AM. |

Interesting, I had thought that they did not come out until the late '70's sometime.
