Re: Need Help Choosing Wheels

My thought is this.

The rims/tires are being balanced at 30mph, you can spin just rims on the tire machine and they arent visably bent, they may have a tiny bit of movement.

All 4 rims/tires will balance out on their machines.

The truck drives perfect under 45mph. Once you get into the 50-55 range the faint wobble comes in.

Its very slight but noticable.

And when I started to look for wheels to powdercoat I had to be picky because I didnt want to waste even more money.

I think since the wheels arent balanced at the rate of speed the wobble is created, your not going to get rid of it.

Its just bent rims LOL

Re: Need Help Choosing Wheels

***Edit, the whole front end of the truck is new....

I already checked that.

Well the truck will be getting a 12bolt someday.

So if it is the rear axle ( which I doubt ) It will get replaced.

Everything else has been.

Re: Need Help Choosing Wheels

I think if your set on 17's then go forward. Get what you want and sell the 15's. There is still a market for them, just not like it once was.

I blew a tire on a rental trailer that had 15's on it. Went to my local tire and wheel store. He had to scrounge around to find a 15 for me.
