C4 rear in 66 questions
Hey guys need some help. I've installed a C4 rear in my 66 project and have painted myself into a corner. After doing all the mounts and calculating and figuring, I forgot one thing. Room for Shocks!! I can't use the stock shock mounts as the frame is to wide and there isn't enough room for the coilover. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas??
thanks

Re: C4 rear in 66 questions
I think I've decided to just cut off the leaf spring mount and make a custom lower mount that attaches to the bottom bolt. It will work, but the shock is almost perfectly vertical, aldan recommends 30 degrees at ride height.

Re: C4 rear in 66 questions
I would say if you don't have room for a shock or coilover, how about creating a cantilever setup like these. I have been collecting pics of cantilevers since I had planned to have one. Nate at Porterbuilt is responsible for 2 of the 3 pics you see.
