metal bed floors

I recently read in a mag where a guy ordered a new factory steel bed floor for a 97 Chevy to use in his older truck instead of trying to straighten out his rusted, dented floor or trying to locate a better used one.
Has anyone considered doing this for these 67-72's. Could be a cheaper alternative to trying to find a good used one or a repop?

Re: metal bed floors

Everything I've heard about the repops is good.I do know they are heavy enough to be good.I haven't used one or seen one installed(that I know of) so this is just from people mentioning what they felt.If you are doing your own bodywork then it might be worthwhile to do the later floor but it may cost a bundle to have a bodyman mate the two.
The repops are readily available here but I don't know about where you are.
