Added a new member!
I've been a member on the board a long time with my 69 chev i have, but i just recently added a new member to the family. bought a 98 reg cab 4x4 with a 305 and an auto. i bought the truck at an auction, and im still waiting on processing papers before i pick it up, but i have already started pricing some upgrades. id like to be able to get some 33s under the truck.
will 33's fit stock? I was thinking they wouldn't so im looking into a 3 inch lift through the torsion keys... is this a good way to lift the front of my truck? does cranking the torsion bars require a re-alignment? I'm planning to pull my snowmobile trailer all over ontario canada with this truck, will the 33s kill the little torque i do have? I'll post some pictures once i pick up the truck...

Re: Added a new member!
you could get 33's with some trimming but its all up to you
as for the gearing you might see a difference but im not sure how much. and i have heard that torsion key lifts are real ruff on the ride but that may have been just if you cranked your torsion bars. "re-keying" might be a different story |

Re: Added a new member!
yeah ive heard that cranking does make a stiff ride, but i would be re-keying this. does this require a re-alignment?
minor trimming is what im trying to avoid
