I got my '67 short step home today
I got this from my father-in-law. It had been out behind the barn for several years and he finally told me to just come haul it off. Of course, that's when he told me that there was no title. I know a little history of it, and it shouldn't be any trouble getting it titled, but who knows. If it's too much trouble-well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I posted some pictures of it a few months ago, but here's a few more. It's an ex-army truck, and I hope it has a posi. It don't have anything else. Kinda makes Plain Jane look like a super model. The grill is almost perfect: The hood has some issues: Right fender is beat up. Anyone see a face in the rust? The usual rocker rust. Right side door is OK, but it's cut for speakers:

I wonder if this door came off a '68:
YUCK!: Glove box must have been left open in the weather for awile. There's no glass at all, and the elements have erased the spid sticker: Just a plain old 250:

Re: I got my '67 short step home today
It has a 3 on the tree column, but it's not O.D. green: And it has a 4 speed in it: Then I cut my hand so I quit taking pictures: I'm not sure what I'll do with it, but my wife won't let it hang out in the back yard for long without a plan. All depends on the title thing. I could probably drop a grand on it and put it on the road. I have plenty of motors if that one don't run. I guess I'll see.

The left door looks to be off of a 68 anniversary.

Re: I got my '67 short step home today
Nothing new to report. I have to many other projects ahead of it. I need to see if I can even get a title for it first. I know it's not stole or any thing like that-my wife's cousin-in-law worked at a army depot and he bought it for his kids, years ago. Now he's out of the picture and he just walked away from everything so my F-I-L towed it to his place and gave it to me. Time and money is all I need, and whenever I have one, I'm out of the other.

Re: I got my '67 short step home today
I dont know what your titling rules in Utah are, but here in AZ you can apply for an abandoned title. They try to contact the supposed owner and if they get no response after a certain number of days they issue you a title. I had to do that when I got a 55 GMC.

I have a "thing" for Army trucks, too. I am redoing one myself.
