Need Cruise Control Pics

I want to put cruise on my 71. I have a few cruise setups from some vans, motorhomes and mid70's pickups. I need some pics of the switch/button, and the assembly under the hood. If possible I would like a few different angles and some pics of the connectors too. Please no aftermarket cruise stuff just factory pieces

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

I do not have photos but I do have scans of the installation instructions & factory assembly manual info on them I'll try to post. Its 14 pages so it may take awhile as I want to upload them to our web site to host them since there are so many. I hope it helps you. May take me a few tries to get the html right to post them so have patience.

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

If you are using windows internet explorer you should have a small magnifying glass icon on bottom right of your screen and by clicking on it you can enlarge everything.
Hope this helps!!

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

Here are a couple that I had saved. I have more on my home computer, but there is a good thread in FAQ about CC with several pictures. The under dash switch was the later style.('71-'72?)

Yes, I hear conflicting info on this, I thought '72 was the only year for the underdash switch but some say it's '71/72??? I don't know.

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

Dang that looks alittle different than the stuff I have.
Did they put cruise on 4x4s or just 2wd?

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

Keep in mind our body style trucks were the last to use the chrome turn signal lever for cruise, here's a great FAQ on installing a later '70's cruise setup-

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

Here's a really good thread on the subject that is already in the FAQ section.

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

I have not seen a 4x4 with cruise but I don't know why you couldn't get one. Here's another pic I have-

Re: Need Cruise Control Pics

Here are a couple more that I had saved. The first is a '68-'70 (or'71?) NOS cruise switch, and the second is a '70 GMC with factory cruise.
