Tool Compartment- Optional on C10?
Hey guys- I can't find this info anywhere so I'm looking for some help.
Was the tool compartment (not sure official term for it) optional on the chevy c10s or only on the C20s? You don't seem to see them too often in any case- was it a rare option? Thanks for the info! |

Re: Tool Compartment- Optional on C10?
pretty rare, no real numbers ever given, but if memory serves, it fell in the less than 2%.
It was avalible on all long wheel base (or longhorn) fleetside trucks starting in 1970. Finding a nice rustfree one, next to impossible, and when you do see one, it's gonna cost you. |

Re: Tool Compartment- Optional on C10?
Just to be clear- they were therefore available on both 1/2 tons and 3/4 ton models?
My understanding was that the longhorns were 3/4 tons. But they were also available on the 1/2 ton long boxes?...or am I confused. Thanks! |

Just had to be a LWB, I don't think it mattered whether C10/C20.

1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and one ton fleetsides. The longhorn was built on a one ton frame which is longer which required an 8 1/2 foot long bed. They came in both C/20 and C/30.
