going for a run

Mon. or Tues. I am running to the JY to remove a seat from a '94 c1500. While I was there I found a couple C-10's '84 up to '87 , 2 '86 K5 blazers and 2 '84 G20 vans with tilt steering. What I would like to know is which of the two (van or pu) would be easier to install into a '68 pu . Wiring is not an issue as I love to do wiring , I might even grab the intermittent wiper set-up while I'm at it.

Also can I grab any other parts off the '84 - '87 pickups ( besides suspension ) that would work with my '68 , like brake booster and mounting bracket , seatbelts , and anything else you can think of.

None of those tilts will be easy to install.It will requite altering the dash area,mount,gauge cluster,wiring,you`ll have the spare whole where the ignition switch was,and you`ll have no shift indicator.
I think the master cyl/booster will interchange but the brackets won`t be right,unless they can be modified to work.
I think the truck belts are too short? due to the hump in the floor.Maybe van belts?I know S10 belts are a good swap.
I`m not real sure what else swaps.Maybe the`88-up belts?

Thanks for the reply. They had a gazillion s-10's and astro vans there so I 'll look at them for seat belts. As for the column I didnt get a good look at them so I'll look a little deeper into it , might actually convert to the key in column as I am eventually going to modify the dash somewhat I own a mig welder so fabbing new brackets is no problem for the column mount , and really have no use for the shift indicator I use a floor shifter.

When I go back I'm gonna take a look at a '74 & '75 C-10 that was hidden in some weeds to see if there is anything left.
