Is there any place other than cpp that sells lowering blocks for my 64,,it has 3 in springs already but its just not low enough,,I dont have the tools to make my own,,just wondering if anyone else sells them

I plan on making my own. Some 2inch square stock, drill a couple of holes. done!

I used 3" square tubing. It's really pretty easy. All you need is the tubing, a cut off wheel, and a drill bit. You can get a cheap harbor freight grinder and a pack of cut off wheels for less than $20. You'll be in it cheaper than buying pre made blocks and you can do it yourself. Most folks have drills, I assume you do to. But if you don't, they're just as cheap.

usually at a metal dealer you can get the metal , and they will cut it for you to whatever length you need
I would say, get 2X2X6X1/4 inch thick.

Auto Zone DOES NOT stock Ubolts that are the correct size. The Ubolts look very close to the right size, but no matter how much banging around you do with a hammer, they WILL NOT FIT. Don't spend $30 for an aggravating afternoon. Don't ask me how I know, lol.

I had some Ubolts custom made at a big truck shop. I took a stock Ubolt there and told them I wanted them 3" longer. They bent them and threaded them while I waited. It took about 15 minutes and cost $40. They came with nuts and washers.

The 2" U-Bolt lowering block kit worked fine for me. But I have a Ford 9" rear end.

I guess what I should of mentioned is that it worked fine in my application.
Which is not stock at all.
My frame has been altered alot.

I should've said they don't work with stock rear ends.

I wrote an FAQ article about making your own lowering blocks. If you care to read it, it's in the FAQ section. Lots of pictures.

Another easy way to make some blocks is to just cut the rear sections off of old trailing arms. Pre-made lowering blocks !
