Whats behind my door panel?
I know there's suppposed to be some kind of styrofoam strip that runs around the middle of the door (from the inside). Is there supposed to be a sheet of plastic over top of this styrofoam strip under the panel? It's a 72 door.

I taped plastic on mine, then cut some 3/8 foam for the back of the door panel, it water proofed it and gave it alittle sound proofing as well

I've never found anything inside the door.
Is that for insulating factors or window guiding.

originally mine had a light brown tar paper material over the door, glued on with a black putty stuff, and nothing behind the door panel, for sound proofing
