Re: Anyone tuck their rear bumper in? Pics?
if you have an lmc catalogue handy or maybe even their website it'll show you the correct install but basically change your inside and outside brackets around and flip them over so the holes facing down to the ground right now are on top. You have correct left and right sides though. If you want I'll take a pic of my assembly for you if it helps explain....
no prob nicolas! Thanks for the tire height big_al. I'm planning a rim and tire swap to 20's and I was wondering how much height I'll loose by removing the 31's on the back. Last edited by dakman; 10-09-2009 at 12:32 PM. |

Re: Anyone tuck their rear bumper in? Pics?
just to update and wrap this up incase any one else gets in the same situation... found the manufacturer of these two bracket sets. The 2wd and 4wd/fleet/swb trucks and blazers with leaf springs require the brackets Goodmark-4143-807-671S. All other trucks should take Goodmark-4143-807-672S
it's just the swb and leaf spring combo in 2 or 4wd on these trucks that won't allow the regular brackets to fit. Now I just need to find a used set because they'd end up being around $90 shipped to get here! Last edited by dakman; 11-05-2009 at 07:53 PM. |

Re: Anyone tuck their rear bumper in? Pics?
Anyone know if the 2wd Drive Set of Brackets will fit on my longbed 72 c10 with coil springs?
I pulled off a Ford Bumper >< that the previous owner had attached to the frame last night. I ordered this set off classicparts.com, and I am hoping they are going to fit. I will post some pics tonight. It looks like he made some brackets himself and attached them to the frame, and also has a receiver hitch setup (which I don't think I will use). I might just end up pulling it off and some point. I just hope it doesn't get in the way of the oem chrome bumper I bought. =/ |

they look like the right ones. 2wd and 4wd coil spring brackets are the same if you're using the sport bumper.

Re: Anyone tuck their rear bumper in? Pics?
Here are the pics.... after looking at it again, I think I am just going to have to pull off those heavy duty brackets he made and hopefully the oem brackets will fit.
Hope the receiver hitch doesn't get in the way. |
