Thinking my carb is crap...

So...
I'm thinking that my 750 cfm edelbrock squarebore carb has a problem somewhere, and I may have to have it professionally rebuilt... but before I take it down and spends lots of money on it, I want to make sure first.

So... with that being the case. Anybody in the area willing to slap my carb on their 350 to see if it runs like crap?

Or... anybody in the area willing to bring a squarebore edelbrock carb over to my place to slap onto my truck to see if it runs right?

NRH / Southlake / Colleyville area...

I'll bet it runs better with the 600 on the street.A 750 is a lot of carb for a street 350.the 750 will need to be well tuned to run well on the street.

Re: Thinking my carb is crap...

whats the engine doing to make you think you have carb problems? just rebuilt my 600 edelbrock, it was pretty simple, if you rebuild go ahead and install new floats to, mine had pin holes in them & they dont come with the rebuild kit.

Oh... I totally agree. I bought it back in the day before I knew better.
Though the motor sure is beefier now than it used to be... (355, radical cam, 195cc aluminum heads, performer rpm intake, hooker comp headers )
Let's see...
(350x5500)/3456 = 557
(355x6000)/3456 = 616
Yep... a 600 would still be good for my motor, unless I got her to spin more rpms.

I've already checked my floats by putting them in bowls of water to make sure they still... float.

Re: Thinking my carb is crap...

Stupid question (maybe),
Does the Edelbrock Performer 750cfm carb have a fuel filter in it like the quadrajets do?
Is it right there where the fuel line connects?
