Tru-Ram exhaust manifolds
Does anyone here have experience with the Tru-Ram exhaust manifolds from speedways motors? I really like the polished stainless, but will it change colors with the heat? My 64 impala has factory cast tru-ram manifolds, and i like the look. Not to mention minus all the headaches headers bring.

Re: Tru-Ram exhaust manifolds
Every stainless header I have ever had blued after getting hot a few times. You can use mid length headers for a Chevelle and they work great. If you use the ones with a ball and socket fitting @ the collecter and use a regular manifold gasket at the head they'll never leak either.

Re: Tru-Ram exhaust manifolds
WOW those are the best looking manifolds I've ever seen! As far as changing color I would think they would discolor near the head and expect the rest of the header to get a little duller finish.

Re: Tru-Ram exhaust manifolds
You might be able to get a set of repro 2.5 corvette ram horns, smooth the castings by hand, and send them out for ceramic coating and come out cheaper than those.
