Awd?

After doing a lot of reading on here and seeing how well the s-10 frames work with the 47-55 trucks I cant help but wonder of anyone had used and awd chassis from a bravada? Im not talking about off road 4wd. The bravadas used an awd transfer case similar to the astro vans and the syclones. A light weight pickup with awd and a small block sounds like fun. Just thinking out loud.

Re: Awd?

I've even thought one step further...there are a couple newer Cadillac cars that run the 32V Northstar with an AWD chassis. Saw a rolling chassis (engine, tranny and transfer, all driveshafts and wiring, even the fuel tank and wheels with tires) on ebay a few months ago with 5K miles on it for 10 grand. It sounds high but when you consider what you are getting it would actually be a deal.

Re: Awd?

There used to be an AD truck that showed up at runs in the PNW with a chassis from a 70 something Jeep Wagoneer that sat right and was said to drive great. You really didn't notice the that it was four wheel drive until you spotted the front hubs.
