Outer floor/inner rocker?

Sorry im a youngin and this my first truck rebuild, and am repairing my cab, i bought new inner and outer rockers, and the rear outer floors while im making my own small front outer floor patch, but when it comes to the inner rocker i have no idea how they go in, or if they are even needed with a new outer floor?
I checked the rocker replacement 101 thread and still couldn't figure it out?
Thanks for your expertise!!

Re: Outer floor/inner rocker?

Well if your outer floor patches have the turn down lip then that takes the place of the inner rocker panel. If you load some pics up we can help more.

Re: Outer floor/inner rocker?

Here is a picture of the inner rocker with the outer rocker removed. Originally they were part of the floor as can be seen. You will want to repair/replace the inner as it supports the outer rocker.

Re: Outer floor/inner rocker?

Here is my thread with some pics in it. I have some more pics that a vendor (mike's bump and grind garage) was very helpful with. There are many board members here that go the extra mile to help a fellow truck-builder out. Good luck.

Re: Outer floor/inner rocker?

That picture i think helped clear it up. The biggest issue was the inner rockers i had ordered were about an inch shorter then the outer floor patch panel that i have which really got me confused and it didn't make sense to just have the two flat sheets of metal sit on top of eachother?
This is what i have right now, just mocking up the rear floor patch:

This is the "inner rocker":
