Need a little help man/auto swap drive shaft?

I am in the process of doing a manual (4speed) to auto (th350) swap 1970 c10 lwb w/leafs. My current project is installing the drive shaft. 1st problem is the drive shaft seems to be about 2-4 inches to long. 2nd problem is the carrier bearing on the auto drive shaft is total differant from the manual d/shaft and I see do not see a mount point for the auto d/s carrier bearing. The next ?????? is can I just have a 1 piece drive shaft made at a local d/shaft shop. Have people tried this and does it work well? I will try to get some pics on here soon. Thanks
