Whats all needed for a conversion to inline 6 to a 502? I know i will need to use big block engine mounts but are the holes already there? This is for a friend.

Yes, all of the holes are in the frame. No mods needed at all on a 68-72 truck if you use proper big block mounts. 67 frame require some slight trimming of the top flange of the frame where the mount stands bolt down.

I have done two inline 6 to big block swaps. With planning and proper parts, it's nothing more involved than an engine change. I did have to lengthen the alternator wires since the alternator sits so low on an inline engine and up high on the big block. Bigger radiator and shroud are needed too of course. The holes are in the core support for the larger radiator to bolt right in.

Hey TX Firefighter..
was wondering what size those BB's were? And do you know what mounts to use on a GenV 454?

1 was a 402 and the other a 454.

And I will be damned if I can justify why one of my heater hoses was red and the other black. Looks like hell. Kind of embarrassing in retrospect.
