A big thank you to all veterans past, present, and future! Keep up the good work I raise my glass high for you!

My father is a huge influence in my life, a Vietnam vet '70-'72. Thanks dad!

Re: happy veterans day!

I also humbly thank those of you who serve or have served our nation in the armed forces. You guys are awesome!
At this time I also thank God for those who were willing to give their lives for the freedom we enjoy in this country.
May we never take for granted all these mighty, brave warriors.

Re: happy veterans day!

I'd like to give a big OOHRAH to all those in uniform. Those who have worn the uniform. Those who are no longer with us, and family of those in uniform. Semper Fi and God Speed.

Here's our Veterans Day project.

Re: happy veterans day!

I posted in general discussion but here is a salute to my Brothers in Arms, active duty and retired. Also a big thank you to my father, second person to set foot on Japanese soil after the surrender. First was his Marine guard in case the crowd tried to rush his launch. He received the Bronze Star, 3 battle stars and other medals; survived a kamikazi plane taking off his ships mast and a 3' miss with a torpedo. His ship was immediately off-shore during every major island invasion in the Pacific and involved in the major sea battles. Under cover of darkness he was Machinists Mate on a launch that would take Army Rangers to occupied islands for recon under cover of darkness. He only just started talking about this a few years ago, as a kid he just said he was in the Navy for a while.
