Dolphin gauges
Have any of you had any experience with Dolphin gauges? I am considering buying some but want feedback before I spend the money.
Thanks

Re: Dolphin gauges
I've never even heard of them, so I'm subscribing for that reason.

Re: Dolphin gauges
I have dolphin gauges and I haven't had any problems but I haven't had my truck for very long either.

Re: Dolphin gauges
I've got them in mine. It depends on what you're after. For the money they aren't bad.... but have some quirks. The lights are different colors between gauges, the tach and speedo (if electronic) are susceptible to electronic noise.. they can get jumpy if there aren't plenty of condensors used. Make sure you use their sending units, they all have different resistance that most common sending units. The electronic speedo was easy to calibrate, just by programming the frequency.
Basically, don't expect SW gauges for Dolphin price. |

Re: Dolphin gauges
I have the 6 gauge set (tach, speedo, oil press, water temp, volt, fuel level) in my '65 and I do not like them. I would swap them for a nice stock instrument cluster if someone wanted them.

Re: Dolphin gauges
65 Gregg,
Here are pictures of the Dolphin gauges I'm dropping in my ride in about a month. I choose analog becasue of the look that was the closest to OEm style as poss. I've was able to collect off Ebay the factory 12 Volt Clock and OEM tach. to complete the layout. All I did was replicate the 64ish- 66 dash layout. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/565578926qPORDC Jake

Re: Dolphin gauges
Take a look at these... http://www.tpigauges.com/products.htm I was thinking about these but I have a feeling I am going to keep the stock look as I like it best. If not I might run these in my truck. $262 for the set in the pictures and they are Made in the USA... They have other gauges for less money also.
