My luck today

I went around body shops today trying to find a door sized silverado trim that runs all the way around my truck. The passanger side door bubbles & started coming off 2 months ago & I ripped it off. I just now got to this today. I went to a shop that is owned by a families friend's girlfriend's father. He is a really nice guy & have had him do body work for me in the past. He had some that wasn't stock, but it was damn close if anyone could tell the difference but me. He gave it to me for free too! While I was there, a guy asked to see my truck to see how the weather stripping was set up. We got to talking and he showed me his truck. WOW! This was the cleanest '78 I have ever seen! This thing is beautiful and spotless!!! He kept it mostly original with some mild upgrades (a.k.a. lowered it, put a 350 in it, little billet) I gave him some info and where to find this board. I may have recruited another to our cult! Muhahaha..... Anyways, we talked for a while and had fun. I am going to get pics of this thing so we can share it here!

Good going there!

I have had the same problem with my truck.
Well....almost the same problem.
That trim on mine trys to come off about every ten years.

I just take some liquid electrical tape (made by 3M),
Clean the surfaces good with lighter fluid,
Put the 3M on and prop a mounted tire up to the trim while it sets.
That stuff holds great.

Hey, what shop did you take it and what color was the truck? There's quite a few nice C10's around...Some spots to look are in the Modesto FoodMaxx parking lot, day or night. Day = nice blue one, night = nice red one...LoL, trust me, some days, I spend ALL day looking around for nice C10's to compare mine to. LOL

Hey on that after market body trim I used adhesive accelerant on the double back tape. That stuff aint coming off ! You can get a whole role of it, more than enough for about 35 bucks. Just make sure it has 3m tape on it. I'm going to heat some up and bend it for the bed corners. Will let yall know how it come out.

It was at Jester's. It is a tan/dull yellow color.
