You must be doing something to draw attention to yourself. I can't recall how many years it has been since I was last stopped.

Hard to say. I've gotten tickets in every muscle car that I've owned, but not a single ticket in my blown Model A. Go figure.

the way the cops look at it the louder the pipes the younger the driver the more erratic the driving the greater the chance they have to write tickets. especiaaly if they pull you over and they continue to see the same thing day after day sounds to me you're marked !!!!!you might want to change something about your trucks sound and or appearance or your driving style. if not well there's always the bicycle fix!!!

I have a friend that has a loud exhaust on his ricer. He gets pulled over at least 2x a month, and always gets warnings, telling the cops he bought the car that way.

well i never have had that problem with my 68 but i did have it with my bagged s-10. i used to get pulled over for the exhaust which a 3 chamber flowmaster backing a 4.3l that one i never understood? but i had clear tailights and a competition sound system.....got many tickets for those...........tint was another big ticket item around here. i did have one particular cop who constantly pulled me over and i did file a report.........he no longer works this beat. evidentally others had complained too! but the best was in the 68, i did a nasty hide roaster at a stop light but didn't move so i was let off with a warning because he couldn't give me a MOVING violation ticket.......haha

Hey man, ive got the same problem. I used to drive my '72 around and id stomp it everynow and then. Since that ive been pulled over ALOT. So i fixed the problem and bought a junker '68 and put a v4 in it with straight headers, it wont even turn the wheels over. Cops stopped bothering me when i drove the clunker around.

I think the pipes are your culprit, or your foot on the gas pedal, probably maybe more like it

it aint the foot that is causing my problems because of gas milage reasons, unless i am racing it, which is not often, i am thinking that it is the pipes, and partially my driving habits but not to much, though the only thing that i can say is that the truck is legal in every aspect, even the pipes, though one time i did get a ticket less than a block from the house for verbal assault on a police officer because he pulled me over for having 2 others in the cab about 8 in the bed and a confederate flag waving in the middle of it all but my mouth got out of control when i tried to stand up for my rights.

Explaining the situation to the cops will get you a ticket every time.....I've proven that several times. Like the time the KS deputy pulled me over, smacked the hopper on my trailer and then asked me what I had in there......I said sailboat fuel......he didin't get it, I had to roll the tarp to prove to him that it was empty......I got a ticket for 60 in a 55. Then there was the time the DOT man had me put my seatbelt on to prove it latched, and it wouldn't stretch over my gut.........I said my wife washed it and must have put it in the dryer......he didn't see the humor......got a ticket for it.......along with countless overloads, log book violations and speeding tickets.

Ah yes
Reminds me of the time when I was in high school and got pulled over in my dodge charger. The cop stole my weed! Then, another time, when I was a lad, I got a dui. And the cops took me for a little drive. Apparantly, one of them had a brother who had been killed by a drunk driver so they took turns punching me in the gut while i was in the back with cuffs on. I know there is a percentage of somewhat honest cops out there, but I havent met any. Oh yeah here is another tale. I work with autistic children with severe aggression problems. One time, a kid was having a behavior, so I pulled over. A cop pulled up behind me and gave me a ticket for undue care and attention which in canada was a 7 demerit situation. Actually, now that I think of it, I do not like cops after all. Sorry, just my two cents.

I don't think it has anything to do with how young you are when you get pulled over for the first time. After they get you pulled over and see your young they usually stick it to you harder, cause they know they're more likely to get away with it.
But I'm 27, and I get pulled over all the time. And I have mild exhaust, and very very rarely commit any traffic violations. They always get me for nit picky BS, like dize on my mirrior, or tint, loud exhaust, lights etc.. Now I'm at the faze where I make my Blazer 100% legal carry a taperecorder, and obey all laws, and am waiting for one to pull me over illegally. I think most are just geleous, and don't apreciate a great American past time.

you think yall got it bad...i get pulled over almost EVERY DAY!! and i don't speed! most of the time it's for not wearing a seat belt...but i lap belts...which are legal! never been pulled over for exhaust which is amazing cuz i'm running STRAIGHT PIPES!!! it's louder than anything. they try and bust me for BS but it never works. i've gotta about 6 tickets and all have been dismissed. once i got pulled over solely for my confederate flag! that ticked me off...it's about pride not race!
