Well its a Looooong story with this "FHA" loan crap...we did all our parts, and down to the wire, up popped some legality thing regarding "working for your family"...

Some BS guidline...now we need to come up with 15% instead of the original 3%

Lets just say most of us have been stressed to tears....literally !!

Sorry to hear that. I know the stress house buying can put you and your family through. It may be worth approaching the seller with a lease option contract. I just did that to get into my house (after a divorce). It gives you time to build up a bigger down and improve your credit score if needed. You also get into the house right away instead of waiting to qualify for the loan. Plus the purchase price is locked in up front. PM if you want some info on how to go about it. Or just google it...

I hear you Fry....but believe me we tryed every angle...Our loan broker has gone above and beyond what hes paid to do. I have been blessed with an awesome big brother who gifted me some money, so that helped out.

GOOD NEWS (well kinda) LOOKS LIKE THE WAGON IS SOLD !!!

I posted it on the H.A.M.B. and this morning I get a call from a really, really nice retired guy. We got to talking, and he sounds like a really great person. He's been looking for a ride like that to take his grandkids and friends to baseball games and stuff.

Guess he used to play for the Raiders back in the 70's..kinda cool.

Anyway, he checked out my build on it, and just requested a few more pics. Once I get him the pics, he said he's PayPal'n me a deposit...should be here shortly, actually.

Sounds to go to be true, but he really sold himself as having really good character, so we will see.

He was gonna have it shipped to his home (bakerfield) but I offerd to trailer it to him just for the cost of fuel there and back...he said it was cool.

We will see...

I'm not sure I'd disclose this to them. When I bought my first house, they asked about this very thing, and the loan officer told me they frown upon this. I had 10% down and worked my @ss off to get it. WTF is it to them, as long as they get their money?
Hope it goes through and you move in soon!

Funny, the loan office actullay had a 'gift' form for my bro and my-self to sign.

Also, the deal is done....I received the $2500 deposit for the wagon yesterday morning via PayPal...

Plan is to bring it too him next weekend. (double )

Wife is sad..but staying strong !!
