Heres mine, illegal as hell over here as we have I think the same limit but it was done when I bought it. They're coming off as its hell to drive at night and I could well get a fine from the rozzers.

classic70... where you at in JC my friend? I bet we've met.

IMO... I'm not much on dark-dark tint in these trucks. I would consider 35%, and 20% is as dark as I would go on the rear window.

Re: lets see your window tint

couple tips from a truck owner and tinter. Dark tint is fun and really nice but watch out for the tint contrasting too much with a light paint (given that you care). My truck was chrome yellow and after the tint was done I regret the 5% everywhere. It didn't really compliment the pain. I think a light metallic, not dyed, tint looks great on bright trucks.

Out on M?

Just be careful when you go to install the glass so you don't end up scratching the tint.

What product are you planning on using? Several of the auto parts kits tend to fade after a few years in the sun; end up getting a purple-ish tint. Highly recommend Llumar... but it's expensive if you purchase a complete roll.

Re: lets see your window tint

20% is the limit in Florida.... My '03 has 5% all around with 50% on entire windshield... you literally can't see d*** at night, but absolutely no glare during the day. It's a trade-off I guess.

I live on Y, just off of M. I was looking at Llumar but have not really priced it.

Re: lets see your window tint

Last time I checked 5 +/- years ago... they didn't offer small rolls and it was several hundred dollars/roll. IIRC.

Re: lets see your window tint

If it is that much I will just buy the cheap stuff or talk to a tint shop or glass shop and see what they charge.

Re: lets see your window tint

I have my '08 Crew done down at Carey's (MO Blvd) and sadly enough he has changed from Llumar. Front two windows were $50.

Any additional pics of the GMC? I caught one of it still on the trailer.

Re: lets see your window tint

23 years ago I put the 95% limo tint film made by 3M on my rear window. It still looks like brand new. I don't see how you could beat that with any other brand.
