Re: 1985 k20 rear brake question
its called a load bias valve. it reduces brake preasure when there is no load in the bed to keep you from skidding the tires.
either tie it up or take it out. |

Re: 1985 k20 rear brake question
Is there a chance that it could malfunction during the winter? I keep skidding my rears all around town until the brakes are pumped a few times.

Re: 1985 k20 rear brake question
if it fails it is only going to give you 100% of the avialable braking power. if you keep sliding around you need to look at your pads, get new tires or quite driving to fast for conditions.
:guilty of all three: yup, get it out of there, 90% of the trucks on the road dont have them at all. i am surprized to see that yours is a 3/4t, i have only seen them on 1t chevys. |
