Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

I am using F-body Rad and double fans, only 1 fan ever runs, it keeps it as cool as I want it. I have the first one on at 210 and it gets up there and cools right down, had it at 180 but it stayed on alot and it is consistantly at 194 while driving around.

I am also using fuel injection rubber lines every where.

I used transdapt plates like the S&Ps and poly stock style motor mounts with the stock mounts on the frame side.

The new power will be fun!!!!

Looks great! If you don't mind me asking what did that whole setup cost. Just trying to compare with a couple of options that are out there.

If you don't want to post it for some reason please PM me.

No problem Alien the polished wide style A/C kit was $736
the rear exit hoses option was additional $50 so total was $786

NOTE: the PS pulley was extra not part of the A/C kit that one was $120

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Thanks. I may have to relocate my AC compressor on my swap and just looking at options. There are some options that are a few hundred dollars and use your original comp to whole accessory set ups that run $2500-3000. Thanks for the pics and info!

I will but be patient with me LOL. I have about 100 pages bookmarked and 10-20 different folders all related to my/an LS swap. All unorganised at the moment. AC is way down on my list right now as I am having crossmember issues (I think resolved) with putting a 5.3 into my stock height 4X4 72 Jimmy. I will have my factory AC hooked up to the LS engine somehow but that is as I said way down my list at the moment. If I haven't posted anything within a week please PM me a reminder. I have a couple of different options bookmarked.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

All right here are 2. There is another inexpensive one that uses the pancake style compressor but I can't find that link right now. If and when I do I will add it.

THE EXPENSIVE ONES BUT???

A LESS EXOENSIVE SOLUTION BUT USES AN EXPENSIVE SANDEN COMPRESSOR

AND HERE IS THE THIRD OPTION

Me too, I would like to design a set of brackets for mine to use the compressor that came with it.

thanks, after I finish the swap I will concentrate on the body and paint and ulpostery. Luckily it has very few rust spots. After a few sleep less nights I finally settled on Jetstream Blue Metallic PPG code 512Q, to compliment the paint color I plan on doing a 2 tone interior with blue and white.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Update, Im currently waiting on parts. Need the A/C compressor billet cover, spark plugs, air intake, intake filters, and thermostat housing. I will be replacing it with a CSR straight up and a 160' thermostat. Also waiting on my fuel rail covers. Trying to compliment the engine compartment with some blue wherever i can.
