Pics of my 67 in the snow

I've had my 67 sitting in the barn waiting for money for parts and time to work on it. I had to put a cow down today, so needed a place to hang it, the truck had to come out so after I drug it out with the tractor thought I'd get some snow pics with it. It's a 327/Turbo 400 with the big backwindow option. Future plans are to replace the cab and swap over to 4x4 suspension, I'm not into the lowering thing LOL.

Thanks, wish I was closer, you left coast guys sure are lucky with the rustfree stuff! I would fix this one if the top wasn't bad too. Rusty floor boards are just a common thing here, just say yabadabado and roll on LOL!

Great looking project! I have been hacking on our cab for about a month now. I feel your pain...well kinda it was supposed to be mostly rust free but of course we did find some under the rocker. Good luck with your project!

BTW, we just had a near blizzard roll through Oklahoma on the 24th. here is my back yard:

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Where is Bethel Acres? I was in McAllister and Hartshorne area for about a week at the end of June visiting some of my wife's childhood friends. Also drove down the Indian Nation to Hugo and over too Ft. Towson for a family reunion. Just curious if I was anywhere near you.

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Rob,
Bethel Acres is about 15 miles west of Shawnee and 22 miles east of OKC (right smack in the middle of God's Country!) I am familiar with Hartshorne and Mcalester. I used to go deer hunting down in that area every year. It's south and east of me around 90 miles.

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Nice truck, get a 71 or 72 4x4 chassis you get the good parts with those years (auto if you want it, n.p.205 transfer case, dana 44 front with open knuckles and disk brakes). Now here is a 67 in the snow

Nice truck, I hope someday mine will look as good! I'm glad we haven't had that much snow here yet LOL. I need to get more wood in first!

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

So you wait until it`s all cold and snowy to pull it out, huh? That`s a neat truck to roll around in until it gets "converted".

We had 22" the weekend before Christmas. Then,it rained Christmas and the next day.The snow is gone.Didn`t expect that.

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Nice 67 project.

Just towed this 71 C20 home. Nice and snowy. The ride was a little hairy, to say the least.

And yes, it had a 69 front clip installed. The guy I bought it from has owned the truck since '76. Apparently at some point it was wrecked and they replace the core support etc.

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Special K I think "roll around in" is the right way to say it. Since the brakes leak off and the tranny won't pull in the forward gears. It's one of those projects that has been waiting it's time then getting put off because of life or because the DD ate the money saved for it.

w3lfd, that's a pretty decent looking truck from what I can see under the snow LOL. I like the color too for some reason!

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Hey Rob here is what I started with. I relaced both rockers, both cab corners, part of the drivers side rear pillar and inner foot well. Stick with your cab if at all possible.

I found a 71 chassis and put my body on it.

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Well, not only are the rockers and floorboards bad, but one cab corner which wouldn't be bad but then there's rust starting over the windshield on the drivers side and it has had a tree or something smash the back right corner of the cab and a PO has knocked holes on the inside of the cab to push the outside skin back out.

Ok guys, enough about snow, even though I'm Canadian I would rather have the heat. If i'm not driving my truck i'd be on my Hog.
That is a sharp looking truck.

No kidding......my front yard looks like I hosted a tractor pull. Thanks on the red, I generally think of my truck being orange........but I'm not sure that's entirely true. It reminds me of that VW red in the early 70's after about 15 years its a nice "burnt orange".

Re: Pics of my 67 in the snow

Hey Rob,
This a cool post and we acually got snow yesterday out here in the high desert of CALIFORNIA. I took a couple pics so I could post one back for you. It isn't much, but snow here is a big deal and rare indeed.
First pic is my two trucks from the front of the house; the second one is from the street and the third one is me with my trucks.
