I have one of those. It has been a while since I have seen it. Keep me in mind if you don't find one. The next time I get out in the barn loft I will see if I can find it, but it will be a while before I get to it.

Re: Need hard-to-find Big Block part - HELP!!!

i thought that bracket was just 68 big block trucks only, i didn't know it was on the auxiliary battery trucks, too. i'm pretty sure i've seen 72 big block power steering trucks with dual batteries that didn't have that bracket. any way it's a cool rare bracket to have on your truck. -jake

I always thought it was only used in 1968 BB trucks too!

This picture was taken from a 1970 accessories booklet. I just assumed that it would apply to all 69-72's with auxiliary battery.

Re: Need hard-to-find Big Block part - HELP!!!

I was curious as to how the reservoir was mounted on the bbc trucks with the auxillary battery. I am glad you posted the picture. I have a bracket that supports the reservoir but bolts to the fender liner. (Not sure what it is off of).

Re: Need hard-to-find Big Block part - HELP!!!

I am building a Big Block 68 and was wondering if I need that bracket. I have a reservoir from a 72. I noticed that there are no factory holes in the fender to mount it. I assumed that I would have to drill them. If I have the bracket, will it mount up easier? If it will make my truck more correct I would like to be inline for the bracket that da-burb has.

Re: Need hard-to-find Big Block part - HELP!!!

I've had a few people question me on the bracket as well (if its correct) I can only guess that it is as this truck hasn't been molested like most of them. 68 bb truck without aux battery.

Hey Da-Burb, have you had time to hunt up the bracket yet? Thanks.
