Re: Poll time...where did you find your truck?

I had a guy email me out of the blue and said he had one he wanted to sell. Looked at it a couple days later when in Az and brought it home the following week.

Re: Poll time...where did you find your truck?

Sorry no pic (check my Avatar), but I found mine on a POV resale lot. It was meant to be, I guess. The very day that I drew money out of the bank for a '64 F*#d, something told me to drive by the "lemon lot" on post (Army) one more time, and there she was. That was 17 years ago and I've never been disappointed, frustrated sometimes maybe, but never disappointed. Cnut

Re: Poll time...where did you find your truck?

Ill play..

2 from Vancouver BC
1 from Idaho
1 from Tukwila Washington
1 from Shreveport Louisiana
1 from Denver Colorado
And a few handfulls from Alberta.

All were either dove home, or drove to and trailered home. Many serious miles and no speeding tickets. The last trip was the closest I got to getting a ticket, 85 MPH in a 65 zone in Montana. I think the officer did not want to deal with all the papers I handed him in regards to registration and insurance.

All my serious trips were bought on this board, so I have met a few great guys from this site.

Thumbs up Re: Poll time...where did you find your truck?

I got my 70 GMC down in Texas. A little town around Cypress, if I remember(?) correctly, back in 85. PO had sealed the rad, glued a door handle on with 3m adheasive. Butchered a late model rearend to it. Paid $500 for it. Had to tow it back to Deer Park. Rod knocking real bad. PO said to add a can of STP and drive it. Got it home and tore into the motor. Small block 400. PO had used same 3m adheasive to install head gaskets.(most cooling holes clogged) Yanked out 400 and installed a 283. Drove if for a few years. Started a frame off in 93. Still at it. Almost done. No before pics.
