New Guy in Tallahassee

I finally picked up a 1972 Chevrolet Blazer in great running condition. It has a 350 under the hood with a Holly 4 barrel carb and 5 speed manual transmission. 1st gear is a "granny gear", which is an extremely low gear that is used for hauling and off-roading. Therefore, it is usually better to start in 2nd. The whole floor, bed walls and roll bars have been Rhino lined (spray-on bed liner) for protection against rust among other reasons. The 4-wheel drive works great with locking hubs and a stick-shift operator next to the transmission stick shift. The Blazer has had (I think about) a 4" lift. It has very nice chrome 17" wheels with 35" BFG all-terrains. The CD player and speakers are new and work great as well. The odometer only has 5 digits, so its reading is pretty pointless. This truck does NOT have a top and the driver's side door has been altered to make sure it opened and closed correctly. I don't think there is a really good fix for the door's look.

Re: New Guy in Tallahassee

Awesome! Another Tallahassee member! I'm just south of you in Crawfordville but have Tallahassee as my location because no one knows where Crawfordville is. That's a pretty cool looking rig you've got there. Where in Tallahassee are you? Also, you could probably find a rear seat if you went up to Moultrie next Saturday for the huge swap meet and car show. Welcome to the board, if you ever need any help wrenching give me a shout and I'd love to come over and help.

Re: New Guy in Tallahassee

I'll probably end up doing that sometime soon. That coupe sounds like a cool project. We've got a few board members that usually end up going to that show so you may meet some of them. I know November's show had the largest amount of 67-72's I had ever seen at that show.
