Question about drop spindles
I just finished ordering a pair of drop spindles and I was wondering since they are being dropped with spindles do they require drop shocks as well? I thought I heard somewhere on here before that if you drop it with spindles then it dosent change the geometry of the front end or something and therfore you dont need drop shocks. If anyone can shed some light on this for me cause if i do need a set of drop shocks I will have to call back and order some. thanks in advance guys.

Re: Question about drop spindles
No, drop spindles just changes the location of the wheel hub itself. Where the center hub of the wheel is at it moves that up and does change anything with springs or shocks. That why a drop spindle lets you drop the truck and factory smooth ride. I think I got that right if not someone chime in to correct me. When you get the drop spindles and compare them to you stock one you will see what I am talking about.

Re: Question about drop spindles
I picked up a new set of shocks for the front and rear. I did a 3/4 drop and I needed new anyways, but I heard they will help with the ride a little if you get the lowered shocks. From what I understand it is not the length that is different, it is the inside. I do not think you have to have them. but I did, but I am also doing frame off. just my .02

Re: Question about drop spindles
Ok coo cause the guy at summit kept telling me that i needed them for the front to even if i was just getting spindles only. the good thing is i have a friend that ownes a shop and me the owner and to of his mechanics are gonna do 3" DJM spindles out front with new shocks and a complete P.S.T. polygraphite kit along with new idler arm, pitman arm, adjusting sleeves etc, and out back DJM flip kit with drop shocks and after all that line up the front end!!!! needless to say im pretty hyped bout everything and the best part bout everything is i dont even have to pay those guys!! so thats cool but im gonna buy everyone all the beer and food they want that day so it should be pretty cool.

Re: Question about drop spindles
Advise on this ^^^; Buy all the food and SODA they want. Then when the project is done throw a beer party. Don't think you want them while working on your truck....

Keep your phone at a distance while drinking....................
From Darius Rucker's "Drinkin' and Dialin'" Lyrics: Last thing I remember Met the boys down at the Jammer We had a few beers, and a few shots I woke up the next day with cotton mouth and a headache tryin to connect all the dots starin up at the ceilin I got that funny feelin Looked over and I, I saw my ex-girlfriend I felt like a fool, and thats when I knew I’d been drinkin and dialin again so the next time you think I’ve had to much to drink and you tell me i shouldn’t drive home when you take my keys, oh i’m beggin you please Go on take my cell phone Cause i have been known after tyin one on to call up a couple old friends tell em that i love em, or maybe don’t cuss em when i’m drinkin and dialin again so the next time you think I’ve had to much to drink and you tell me i should not drive home oh when you take my keys, oh i’m beggin you please Go on take my cell phone if you’ve ever heard, me slurrin my words on your voice mail around 4 a.m. you’ll have to forgive me, and blame it on my whiskey I was drinkin and dialin again I’ve been drinkin and dialin again
