Re: my 1950 project

Your truck has a nice stance.

Would you mind taking a measurement from the bottom of the floor board to the ground.

I am trying to figure out my ride height.

Mike, did you find the parts you needed at Larry's yard? Did you leave anything for me?

Re: my 1950 project

I ended up spending 200 dollars. I got 2 fenders, 2 doors, a tailgate in perfect condition(which im going to sell u dont need one do u) and a side splash apron. Im going to go with a smoothed tailgate.

Re: my 1950 project

Sweet, I was hoping you guys found some good stuff since you had to drive so far to get there. I don't need a tailgate right now, I am working on getting the cab mounted to the frame and doing suspension and patch panels for now.

Re: my 1950 project

looks good!! Good progress. I like the chopped top. I would like to chop mine but a little scared. Was this your first chop? How much did you cut?

Thanks.

Re: my 1950 project

To go along with Augy49s comment about the two alluminum accessory brackets. I had problems with mine also, the ps pump/alternator bracket, It sheared all the bolts off in my head and the two at the bottom on the block. Idk if its from the alluminum weakening over time but I had hell with it.
