Thinking about starting a project.
But I would really like the input of you guys.
I have a 1967 gmc long bed step side 2wd and 250 that has a good bit of cancer. Most of the rust is in the bed and rear fenders but it does have the rotten cab corners. I was thinking about restoring the cab and building a flatbed. I also have an 87 gmc suburban 4x4 with even more rust and wile it runs great, will not pass emissions. My question: Has anyone here ever taken the cab and front clip from a 67-72 truck and mounted it on a 80 something sub frame? Was it worth the effort. Neither vehicle is a daily driver so time is not to much of an issue. Thanks for your help! Joe I |

Re: Thinking about starting a project.
You would be better off converting the 67s frame to 4 wheel drive or seeking out a 67-72 4x4 frame, because the chassis are completely different. The67-72 4 wheel drive chassis are out there and this board is a good resource to find them. Good luck. WES
