Behind the seat ideas?
As you can see, the PO actually painted the gas tank...Well, I have went with the rear tank so know I have this "red, unpainted spot" behind my seat...Ideas on what to do with it? My intial plan was to sound dampen and maybe carpet a made to fit board that affixed to the back wall...Any suggestions and/or pics would be great...I do plan to put woofers in it at some point, just WAY down on the list...thanks

Re: Behind the seat ideas?
just depends on what you had in mind for the space, some people move the seat all the way back so they have move room under the wheel. But i suppose you could put a very small speaker box, paint it, carpet it, danomat it. What ever tickles your fancy i suppose. Take some photos of it when your done.

That sure does, Fastom! How do the highs sound coming from behind the seat like that, and what do you think of those shallow pioneers?

Re: Behind the seat ideas?
If you plan on putting some shallow mounts back there I would put some sound dampener on it then just cover it with some carpet for now. Of course you could always do a blowthrough. But I doubt that's what you're going for. I will have my blowthrough done this summer, I can't wait.
This is my buddies. He's since finished but I'll have this monster sized hole in mine.

Re: Behind the seat ideas?
yep cheapest stuff you can find even ask for a damaged sheet I cut a piece of 3/4" pine to match the angle of the tank ...some 3m trim aheasive $11 (most expensive part of the build but I only used a little) the paneling I had $0and the carpet cost me $9 at wally world so I have $20 and about an hour into it I bet you could buy a damaged sheet of 1/8" paneling ( who care what color) for another $5...If you et a chance theres even a console build in my build with a link to the console...should be right on the last page all wood..the console I have about 20 hours into it but thats with the curves radio amp sub woofer ..truth is its pretty easy just alot of fit and trim fit and trim.....
the rest of the paneling and carpet will make quick work of making up some kick panels....or a headliner...material is available at most fabric stores
