12 bolt parts interchangable? 66 c20 to c10
i have a 12 bolt with six lug axles and a trailing arm set up that will bolt right up to my '66, it is a '69 according to the guy i got it from, it is missing all the brake parts from the backing plate out. my question is can i swap the parts onto it from a '74 12 bolt i have with 5 lug axles and all the brake parts and drums?

You could use the complete brake assemblies, but not the axles as they are 3/4" too long. IIRC the '74's had the narrow brake shoes still so you may not need to change the backing plates. You could either have your existing axles re-drilled to 5 x 5 or just buy the aftermarket conversion axles.
