any houston, tx area mechanics?
im looking for a mechanically inclined person that can finish up my 1971 c-10... i am a not looking for a shop but looking for someone who is familiar with these trucks that can work on them and somebody wanting to make a little money on the side....
this is the history of the truck: this was someone elses project that never got finished... so i ended up buying so ive been buying the parts that i need the last 3-4months.... the previous owner took the whole motor/trans out to get the whole truck painted in the engine so all he did was just throw the motor/trans back in and thats it, there is no wiring hooked up to it, seems like all the wiring was pulled inside the cab to be able to paint the engine bay... so pretty much is i need somene to turn this truck on..... stuff just out of top of my head that need to be installed is, distributor cap, spark plug wires, radiator, headers, brake booster, and the wiring like the batter cables and stuff... i am not mechanically inclined but i would be happy to help out and learn is not an issue with him.. if anyone is interested or know someone that can be, please send me a pm... thanks... by the way im close to the pearland area it is helps...

If no one responds, call Mike at: http://estore.websitepros.com/126980...Categories.bok
Ask him if he can do the work for you or if they don't do rewiring he may know someone that can help. |

ap it really isnt to much to get it back together. I took my truck completely apart by myself in a few weeks. If you wanna try it yourself I will come help you. I remember how it comes apart and I have the factory assembly manual. These trucks are pretty simple to work on. Only thing I cant help you with is the ignition wires, cap, and rotor

Re: any houston, tx area mechanics?
Im in the pearland/sagemont/friendswood area,
yes i would think there is plenty of members that would give a hand, but i really would like to pay for the work done, that way they wont feel maybe forced? i rather make them feel encouraged to finish the job...
