Fuel Gauge Question
OK Here is goes,
How do i get the gauge to read empty when the tank is empty? its empty and it reads 1/4 tank gas. I cleaned the contact part of the float, cleaned the sensor contacts sofar. Any other ideas?

Ground the fuel sender wire and see if the gauge reads exactly Empty or there abouts. If its 1/4 off, the gauge is likely bad. Someone could have installed the wrong resistance bar (on the back of the gauge) but its doubtful.
If the gauge reads empty, you have a bad sending unit or something is restricting the float movement. |
