Sw Mo area Good with Edelbrocks
Does anyone know someone who may be good with Edelbrock carbs and perhaps electric chokes. I have something going on and not even able to drive my restored truck.

Carb king. www.thecarburetorshop.com He is in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
They are not that hard to work on. What are the symptoms? They don't like too much fuel pressure. 4-5 lbs. tops. I do carb work for people in the K.C. area but I have no way of testing them so I don't do them for out of town people. |

I'm asuming by your statement that you are having problems with your choke, make sure you are getting power to it and that your wires are tight and haven't pulled out of the conector, then make sure your choke linkage is on correct, Z shape not S, these are just assumptions cause your description was vague. Tell us your symptoms and I'll bet someone can walk you through fixing it, these carbs are easy to work on and there are plenty of noligable people willing to help, no reason to pay someone elsa to do it

Re: Sw Mo area Good with Edelbrocks
When you say "restored truck" I'm thinking you don't have HEI ignition. Make sure your choke power is 12v. If you are running from the power wire to the coil it's not 12v. Check your timing and if you aren't running power brakes, make sure the port is plugged in the carb. Anything less simple than that and I'm stumped.
Let us know what you've eliminated and I'm sure you will get more suggestions. |

The choke on my 1406 had to be adjusted out of the box. Loosened the screws on the choke assembly and moved it to the middle mark.
