Std. Ratio rear-end???
tryng to fnd out what it is. parts truck was given to me, all original 86 longbed 305/350 combo, and im sure anything is better than the 4.11's. I saw a chart with all the codes for the rear ratios, but it did not lst a ratio for GQ1, just says its standard ratio. Is it safe to assume its 2.73? thats the only ratio i know of that isnt on the chart.

Re: Std. Ratio rear-end???
Here we go again............
i'm pretty sure that the std ratio for 86, assuming it was available in 86 is 2.56. If not, then 2.73. If you really want to find out, and have the time, check out my overly-anal research regarding this topic as i had to go thru it myself because i needed to get my speedometer reading right: http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...p?topic=3785.0 Also, depending on how good your local gm dealer is, you may be able to give them your vin# and they should be able to look it (the ratio) up in the computer. |
