Nice, I know I do not have to tell you, but cash in hand is an amazing bargaining tool. I assume it is the Green Machine you are working on, look forward to seeing the strip down of it.

Sorry to hear about your parents dude......... well, at least the Green Machine will be getting some love under cover soon. I wish I had a garage to pull LeAnn into.

Started Stripping the Engine so that we can replace the intake gasket (suspected blow by) and header and valve cover gaskets.

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Been a while since any movement on the build. Weather been crappy and things are just moving slow. Started replacing all the weather seals. Got the front windshield done and will do the rear windshield on Monday. The pictures are as follows:
Pic 1. Back of the cab primered
Pic 2. Back of bed primered

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Eventually got the rims back from sandblasting. My arm are so sore from all the sanding and polishing of the rims.
Pic 1. Rims before sandblasting......... clear coat was coming off
Pic 2. Rims after they were sandblasted and sanded smooth
Pic 3. Rims after being polished...... going for a darkish metallic look (pic does not really show how dark the color is because of the flash)

Thought about getting it powder-coated and colored, but decided to put my own personal touch to them and make them personal and unique.

Pic 2. New tailgate installed.

Once front fabrication is done, she will be ready to be primed.

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

We got the front end work done. When I say "we", I mean my buddy Yankee, his son Sidney and his cousin Russ. I just lend moral support.
Pic 1. Yankee getting ready to do some fabrication to make the 83 front end fit the 79 cab.

Pic 2. 3. & 4. Yankee and Sidney working on the modification of the front clip.

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

The Ford rear windshield that was erroneously installed by the PO was taken out, and the real deal was installed. Here Yankee and Sidney are working on installing the rubber for the windshield, and me doing what I do best, taking pics and lending moral support.
Notice that the birds have already honored LeAnn with their stamp of approval on the bed!

Re: LeAnn - 1979 C10 SWB

Thanks. I am looking for one right now, but the money is almost all out, and I am changing the rear bumper from the stock step bumper to a 70's Malibu Station Wagon with the tail lights in the bumper. Will post pics as we progress. Only paid $30 for that bumper.

Fabrication on rear bumper now done. Bumper is off a 1979 Chevy Malibu Station Wagon.

Measured the required length, cut the measured middle section from the bumper.
