Re: 2wd leaf springs compared to 4x4 rear leafs
My 2X leaf pack has 4 leaves. I think 4Xs have 6 leaves. What I do not know is if the first 4 leaves are the same or not.

Re: 2wd leaf springs compared to 4x4 rear leafs
The 4x4 rear leaf pack on my Suburban has five leaves. I was reading the service manual earlier in the week, and it looked like a couple of different spring packs were available on 2x trucks depending on equipment levels.

Re: 2wd leaf springs compared to 4x4 rear leafs
The length and arc are close to the same (can't tell for sure because of weight differences) but there are other differences that would make it somewhat difficult to interchange them.
Differences, 2wd width 2 1/4", eye diameter 2", spring hanger opening 2 1/2" 4wd width 2 1/2", eye diameter 2 1/4" spring hanger opening 3" Jim
