Re: Paint radiator?
They are both painted black from the factory. So unless you like the monocolor look, paint them black. WES

Re: Paint radiator?
When I worked in a radiator shop years ago we painted them with an extremely thinned down paint. If you are thinking painting them body color, the paint will probably be too thick and they won't cool as well as they should.

Re: Paint radiator?
Yes I want to paint them a color to match the truck, i was wondering about the cooling issue. I am just trying to get rid of all the black under the hood.

Re: Paint radiator?
To me... It would look weird. I'm sure someone somewhere has done it.
I have an aluminum radiator in my 1972 GMC... looks pretty cool to see the bright aluminum through the grille. Gary

Re: Paint radiator?
Thats one reason I want it painted a color, so it stands out through the grille.

Re: Paint radiator?
I believe a black radiator (especially flat black) is more efficient than any other color. IIRC it is due to something called emissivity. Light colors will hurt the performance of the radiator even beyond the insulating qualities of the paint.
