Rebuilt 600 CFM Carter AFB for sale...
I finished rebuilding it a few weeks ago. oldiron was nice enough to give it to me when I needed one, but then my wife up and bought me an Edelbrock 1406 brand new for my B-day, but I had already rebuilt the Carter to use myself.
This is perfect for someone wanting to install an aftermarket 4bbl that's easy to work with, but can't shell out the $250 for a new one. It's nearly identical to the 1406 including electric choke. I went ahead and did a complete rebuild, clean, and inspection. I replaced the electric choke housing, and have the wire bundle (- for ground; + for ignition 12v source) included. All the gaskets, rubber parts, accel. pump, clips, and even the throttle screws are new and staked. It has the original metering rods and jets, but they're in good shape. It's ready to bolt on and tune, and looks like new. It's just sitting in my Edelbrock 1406 box, so I need to sell it (I'm saving for headers anyway!). $150 obo. I can snap some pics if requested.
