71 Gmc grill to 67 grill swap trim question

Ok, I mocked up my 71 gmc with my 67 chevy grill and all fits awesome. My question is what to do with the holes in the fenders left by the gmc front molding? I have seen stainless trim on other 67-68 chevy grills that cap the front fenders and the lead edge of the hood. Does anyone know if the mounting holes are the same for the chevy trim?
