clutch pedal spring
what is the purpose of the spring on the clutch pedal?(inside the cab)
to keep pressure on the linkage, keeping the adjustment rod incontact with the fork? Anything more than 1/4 way down on the pedal and it will suck it to the floor(it was to fun to find that while driving) The spring for the fork is worn out and lifting the pedal with my toe is really annoying hahaha

Re: clutch pedal spring
I'm pretty sure that it is an "over-centering" device with a dual purpose. It holds the pedal "up" against the stop, keeping it from rattling....and once you push it down "over-center" of the pivot point it actually helps push the pedal down.

Re: clutch pedal spring
that makes sense because anything less than a 1/4 and the pedal will return to the top
Thanks

Re: clutch pedal spring
What does your spring look like? My 72 has a large vertical spring, which over-centers and the pedal sticks to the floor. I learned really quick to keep one foot on the pedal while hooking the other underneath it to get it unstuck. My 67 has a smaller horizontal spring, which does not over-center.
