Re: s10 swappers.....shifting linkage

Personally, I swapped the S10 column for a tilt one from a 73 van and put the ignition back on the dash, but as for shift linkage I went with the Lokar ACA-1800. For all the headaches of trying to use the stock setup, this was dirt easy and clean. 60 bux here in Canada, so wasn't even worth the effort.

Cheers,
Ted.

Re: s10 swappers.....shifting linkage

I had every intention on using the original '52 column, but to save money and arrivation I have decided to use the donor S10's. If I could find a swap like Thadious did I would go that route. I think I am gonna try using the stock setup, mine had a 700r4 and I'm going to a 4L60. I think I can swap the gear selector piece on the tranny's and it work.

5 speed here! Works great. Made a bracket for the slave cylinder.

Re: s10 swappers.....shifting linkage

hey guys, reading on another thread.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=400144

I looked at my tranny/column setup last night. I think that Im going to keep my column shifter and go with the lokar linkage for my 700R4

http://lokar.com/product-description...lshiftlink.htm

Looks pretty slick and and easy install.....or so I hope!!
